Dangerous Hurricane Targeting The Nothern Gulf Coast

Posted on Saturday 30 August 2008

Hurricane Gustav at the Moment is a High End Category 4 and the threat to the Northern Gulf Coast is becoming more real by the hour.  Mandatory evacuations are in place across Louisiana and Fema and contracted Transportation Companies are moving people by the thousands.   Although New Orleans isnt the direct target the Right Front quadrant is expected to affect New Orleans with dangerous storm surge and likely flooding.  Gustav has the potential to Hit the Northern Gulf Coast at a Cetagory 3-4 or 5 hurricane and this will without doubt cause Devastating flooding, storm surge and Winds over 100mph.  The typical Tornado threat with each Tropical storm is real and will definetely add to the devastation that Hurricane Gustav already has in store.
