Snow has been melting steadily and hints of Spring are blessing Southeast Idaho with Sunny days and the sounds of rain from melting rooftops. The change in weather will even bring a small chance for Thunderstorms on Thursday (tommorow) which is quite early yet very welcome. I am not really expecting anything and think that the chance is far fetched but if it happens I will try to capture something if the opportunity shows.
Stormchasing Season is coming up soon and there have already been a few Slight and moderate risk days that landed several Tornado photos for certain chasers. As of now the number of tornadoes compared to last year is very low. 2008 was a record setting year and this year still has the potential to be as good (and I mean that in the way of Stormchasing opportunity). Be sure to check out Chasertv.com and SevereStudios.com for Live stormchasing during Slight, Moderate and High risk days.
I will be stepping up quite a bit this year to achieve as many lightning photos and videos as I can. Last year was a relatively inactive year for Idaho. This year I will focus more to the North near Ashton,ID and also focus on Pocatello,ID for the active days. Both will provide unique and wide open spaces for this type of photography and video and I look forward to all that Mother Nature has to offer.
Keep checking back often during the active days to see the latest in My photos and videos. Thanks for being a visitor of my website and a loyal fan.
